Lake Orion High School will again be hosting the Michigan DECA, District 7 Competition on Jan. 11 from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Lunch will be provided.

Volunteers are needed to act as judges in order to ensure the event runs smoothly.

DECA is a high school vocational organization that was established for students who are interested in pursuing a career in marketing and business.

During this competition, students compete in occupational areas such as advertising, restaurant marketing, apparel and accessories and other area.

Judges are needed to aid in role-play situations, where judges will play the role of a customer and the students as an employee.

Applications are due by Jan. 2 but Dalrymple will accept applications as long as people are interested. — Megan Kelley
