The Lake Orion High School girls volleyball team ended their season in Battle Creek with a loss in the state semifinals.
The young Dragon team found themselves on a hot run during both districts and regionals, defeating OAA Red leaders Clarkston High School and always-impressive Stoney Creek to make it to the state semifinals.
The ladies geared up to take on Lowell High School last Thursday for their first game in Battle Creek.
Lake Orion took the early lead, winning the first set 25-17.
However the victory was short lived as Lowell turned up the heat, dominating the next three sets, winning 25-19, 25-19, and securing the fourth set and the victory 25-15.
The Lake Orion team graduates three seniors and is expected to come back with another strong team in 2020.
