After defeating Hartland in the state quarterfinals, the Dragons headed to the state semi-finals to take on Detroit Catholic High School.

Lake Orion took the early lead finding themselves up 4-0 in the begining of the game and holding onto the lead throughout most of the game. Detroit Catholic fought hard to stay in the game tying up the score several times but never taking the lead.

With a game tying goal by Detroit Catholic High late in the second half, the Dragons found themselves facing off in overtime play.

Detroit Catholic High scored the final, clutch goal winning the game 14-13 to keep the Dragons out of the state finals. — M.K.
