Navaro Hayes (Huelo) of Metamora, Michigan, formerly of Oxford, Michigan, died Feb. 3, 2023 in Lapeer, Michigan. He was 64 years old.
Navaro fought the fight, battling diabetes and COVID. He died peacefully holding the hand of his loving wife, Judy Hayes.
Navaro was born in Pontiac, Michigan on Aug. 29, 1958, the baby brother of five kids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony Hayes and Patricia Munsell Hayes-Chapman, his stepfather, Raymond Chapman, and brother-in-law, Edwin Streit.
Navaro is survived by his loving wife, Judy (McComber) Hayes; two children, Toni (Alicia) Hayes and Nathan (Jazzmine) Hayes; three stepchildren, Amber (Mark) Nieto, Lucy Friedly and Robin (JoAnne) Friedly; and 10 loving grandchildren.
He is also survived by his four siblings; Mike (Robin) Eller, Toni Streit, Winona Hayes, Toro (Laurie) Hayes; his many nieces and nephews and many, many great friends.
Navaro LOVED hanging out with his friends and family, collecting hot wheels and riding his Harley Davidson.
Everybody loved Navaro. He was a humble, kind, patient, caring, loving simple man. He will be missed dearly.
A celebration of life will be held in late spring of this year.
