Crash at M-24 at Flint Street
Lake Orion police responded to a traffic crash on W. Flint Street and S. Park Boulevard (M-24) at 12:10 p.m. Oct. 13.
A black Dodge vehicle turned left in front of a Toyota Rav4, causing a collision. There were no injuries reported.

Lake Orion woman arrested for unarmed robbery
A Lake Orion woman was arrested after an alleged assault and unarmed robbery in the village on Thursday.
Lake Orion police went to a home on S. Broadway Street around 5 p.m. Oct. 13 after it appeared that an unarmed robbery had occurred between neighbors, a police report on the incident stated.
After investigating, Lake Orion police arrested a 39-year-old Lake Orion woman for unarmed robbery and booked her at the Lake Orion Police Department.
The woman was taken to the Oakland County Jail with charges pending.

Thief breaks into car on Lapeer Street
A citizen called police to report that someone had broken into their car while it was parked on Lapeer Street near W. Flint Street at 10:42 a.m. Oct. 13.
The thief broke out the passenger window of the vehicle and stole a backpack.
Lake Orion police are continuing the investigation.

Vandals draw graffiti on Meeks Park signs, benches
Lake Orion police got a call around 10:40 a.m. on Oct. 14 that unknown suspects had drawn graffiti on signs and park benches in Meeks Park in the village.
Lake Orion police are investigating the incident.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects should contact the Lake Orion Police Department.

Drunk driver arrested on M-24 after traffic stop
Lake Orion police took a drunk driver off the streets after a traffic stop for speeding at 1:44 a.m. Oct. 16.
A police officer stopped a car for speeding on N. Park Boulevard (M-24) near W. Church Street and determined that the driver, a 40-year-old Bruce Township woman, had been drinking.
The woman reportedly showed signs of intoxication and had a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of .17, more than twice the legal limit. A BAC of .08 is considered legally intoxicated in Michigan.
The woman was arrested and taken to jail, police said.

Would-be thief gets arrested on burglary warrant
A would-be thief did not get arrested for shoplifting but did end up in jail on a burglary warrant, the Orion Township sheriff’s office substation said in an incident report.
Deputies were dispatched to Kohl’s, 4872 Baldwin Rd., at 4:44 p.m. Oct. 4 for a retail fraud in progress report when Kohl’s loss prevention said they were witnessing a known shoplifter walking around the store selecting merchandise.
The individual became aware of police in the area and placed all the items back before leaving the store. Deputies approached the man and explained that Kohl’s was aware of his previous retail frauds.
While there was no crime committed in Kohl’s on that date, deputies were able to lodge the suspect, a 40-year-old Pontiac man, at the Oakland County Jail on a criminal bench warrant for burglary.

Woman admits to drug possession after traffic stop
A traffic stop and subsequent investigation in Orion Township turned up criminal violations on two suspects on Oct. 5.
During routine patrol in the area of Lapeer and Silverbell roads at 8:06 p.m., deputies made a traffic stop and discovered that the vehicle was uninsured.
Deputies discovered that the driver, a 33-year-old Burton man, also had a suspended driver’s license. Deputies removed the driver and the passenger from the vehicle.
The passenger, a 30-year-old Flint woman, admitted to having methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia hidden in her underwear, according to an incident report.
Detectives will continue the investigation.

The trailer is missing, but the tongue is there
Deputies went to Planet Fitness, 1101 S. Lapeer Rd., at 10:40 a.m. Oct. 7 after a trailer was reported stolen from the parking lot.
Deputies saw the tongue lock of the trailer had been cut off and was laying on the ground where the trailer was last parked.
There are no security cameras in the area and no suspects or witnesses at this time.
Detectives from the Oakland County Auto Theft Unit will continue the investigation.
