LO baseball go 9-1 ahead of Oxford match-up

Lake Orion High School’s varsity baseball team has had a dominating performance over the past week, crushing both Garber and Midland High Schools.

Garber High School

The Dragons hosted Garber High School on Friday, walking away with victories in both games.

Pitcher Matthew Whitefoot was the player of the first game, securing the 10-0 win by pitching a no-hitter.

Ryan McCartan led the Dragons in hits with two, while Evan Waters had three RBIs (Runs Batted In).

In their second game against Garber, the Dragons had a narrow victory, coming out on top 5-4.

Midland High School

The boys stayed at home for their doubleheader against Midland, securing two more wins.

The Dragons defeated Midland in their first game 8-7.

Connor McCartan led the Dragons with three hits while Antonio Grazioli had three RBIs.

In their second game, Lake Orion mercied the Midland team in three innings, taking home a 15-0 victory.

Evan Rawlings pitched three innings for the Dragons and had three strikeouts.

Leading the Dragons in batting was Casey Robertson with four RBIs. Both Robertson and Cooper Villareal led in hits with two.

The boys are back in action on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Oxford High School. — M.K.
