In attending Unity churches, I found them so freeing. There was no requirement to participate in anything or have any required teachings.

My neighbor invited me many times, but I was a busy mom. She never gave up on me and continued to invite me. Finally, I said yes. When I entered the church, it was no different than any other church. It was small, everyone knew you were new and everyone was friendly. That’s it!

After listening to the lesson given, I was intrigued. It was God the way I always felt He was in my heart. The teachings are about life, our life, not about those who are in the bible. Although the bible is our basic text and we look at that metaphysically, we break it down to look beyond the physical descriptions.

For me personally, I liked the in depth look at life and also learning about God’s omnipresent presence.

Knowing more about God in this free form makes you want to learn more. Learning expands our consciousness. I have found there is no end to what you can learn because life is always changing. How we react to those changes, how we react to others, is how we let God energy flow through us.

The first principle in Unity is that God is omnipresent. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines Omnipresent as “present in all places at all times.”

Years ago, author and spiritual teacher, Eckhart Tolle brought forward the idea of being in the present. It was an interesting idea and New Age thought to me, yet it felt right. Unity’s – Revealing Word tells us: “God is everywhere present. There is no place where God is not. He is in all, through all, and around all.”

What a great lesson for each of us to know.

Still, it begs the question: is God in us?

Yes! God being omnipresent, everywhere present, in all things, there is no place where God is not. Most likely you have always known this truth deep within you. Now that it’s been validated, take a moment to sit with that thought. Breathe that goodness in and let it penetrate your cells.

Now, examine your life. How are you doing with representing God in this world?

Being the physical presence of God is a big responsibility. We need to grow our understanding of this energy. Putting it to its best use we find there is no end to learning about God because there is no end to God.

God is expansive reaching out beyond the universe, beyond the void in space, beyond time and knowing, never ending.

At any given time, as Eckhart Tolle said: “You can practice being in the present moment and set your worldly ways aside. Worldly ways represent the structure of years of humans’ thoughts. You now know you are part of the expanding energy of God; a God that leads you to do good things because you represent Him in all you do. As you practice enhancing and learning more about God’s energy within, you gain a deeper understanding. The validation of these truths comes from within you.”

God energy is something deep down in you and your heart already knows it. There are no requirements to knowing the omnipresence of God to experience life. It’s personal choice, free and no intermediary is necessary.

The omnipresent energy of God connects with you anytime you acknowledge its presence. Each lesson you hear continues to expand your awakening. The practice of it will lead you to being the best God energy you can be.

1 Corinthians 3:16 (ESV): “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”
