On a weekly basis, I’m in one or more of the local schools photographing events and interviewing students for a story.
However, Friday, March 21, I was in two of the schools for something a little different, and a whole lot of fun.
For March Reading Month, I was asked to read to Ms. Ferguson’s fourth grade class at Clarkston Elementary and Ms. Rathburg and Ms. Richard’s first grade classes at Bailey Lake Elementary.
I was honored to have been asked as a guest reader and thrilled to read to the kids.
They loved it, too, and had so many questions for me regarding my job. Some also wanted to share their stories of when they had appeared in The Clarkston News themselves.
Others wanted me to take pictures of them for the newspaper.
I thought the latter was a great idea. Here they are!
