Jamie Shank, 9, spent last Thursday morning helping out her mother, Becky, in the Village of Lake Orion dispatch office. April 22 was Bring Your Child to Work Day. Jamie said she really enjoyed it. She typed on the computer, listened to conversations and logged some of the police activities. Becky said she wanted to show her daughter how to help people. ‘I’m teaching her how to be a responsible person and get along by herself. I’m proud of her,? mom added.
