Walking for life

Members and supporters of the North Oakland Right to Life commemorated the 34th anniversary of Roe v Wade this past Sunday with a life chain formed along Dixie Highway at White Lake Road.
Passing motorists responded with honking horns and shouted exclamations, both in support and opposition. About 73 participants took part, said Mary Beth Baker, secretary of the group.
‘It’s getting bigger every year,? Baker said.
The group, headed by President Connie Meech, meets on the first Tuesday of every other month.
