The FAME concert series:’The American Experience?

Goodrich – The combination of art and music by two diverse choirs will come together as part of the FAME concert series: ‘The American Experience.?
The concert will be performed by the Brazeal Dennard Chorale and the Carolyn Mawby Chorale at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 29 at the Raymond C. Green Center for the Performing Arts, at Goodrich High School, 8029 S. Gale Road.
The two chorales will come together on stage to celebrate in song American negro spirituals, southern folk hymns, patriotic melodies and Broadway.
The art gallery will feature giant reproductions of the paintings of Diego Rivera and Gustav Klimt and can be viewed before the show, during intermission and at the conclusion of the performance. The display features brightly colored images on satin including Klimt’s ‘The Kiss? and Rivera’s ‘The Agitator.?
The Brazeal Dennard Chorale will be conducted by Maestro Brazeal Dennard, who has conducted for more than 60 years. The chorale, a group of highly trained singers, has performed ‘Classical Roots,? a concert series with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
The 48 singers who make up the Carolyn Mawby Chorale come from all walks of life and were organized so they could continue their singing experience as they pursued their careers.
