Students draw on their talents

The holiday season is an inspiring time of year, with trees displaying fiery hues, the air crisp and clean, and the promise of sparkling snow in the sky. And the students at Stadium Drive Elementary proved very inspired.
On Nov. 13, the school’s PTA sponsored The Reflections Art Program, a national PTA program that encourages children to express themselves artistically.
Students created works of art in literature, photography, visual arts, dance choreography, and film production is response to this year’s theme, ‘WOW!?
The competition separates students into two grade divisions: the primary division includes students from kindergarten to second grade, and the intermediate division includes students from third to fifth grade.
The first and second place winning entries from each category in both divisions have the opportunity to compete on the state level in Janurary.
Local community members, Elaine Darbee, Danny Stublensky, Janet Davison, Cathy Kimmel, Jim Haugh, Debra Reifor, Richard Webster, Walter Meadows, Beverly Girardot, Teri Stiles, and Beth Hansen helped judge the competition.
