Student count higher

The number of students in Oxford Schools is higher than initially reported.
On Wednesday, Oct. 12 the Leader published an article based on a report by Linda Lewis, Communications Coordinator for OCS, stating the district’s enrollment increased by approximately 200 students in their unaudited count.
On Thursday, Oct. 13, Dr. William Skilling told another media outlet the district unofficially increased by over 250 students.
Lewis confirmed the district increased by over 250 students, saying it was a ‘conservative estimate? and the reason for the discrepancy was the district had a higher number of virtual students than initially counted on Wednesday, Oct. 5.
