Silverman meets conditions of preliminary site plan approval

Brandon Twp.- A public hearing to take public input on a final site plan for a 144-unit apartment complex located near M-15, will likely happen in January.
The planning commission approved a preliminary site plan in June, with conditions. On Tuesday, Brandon Forest Lake Company, represented by Silverman Development Company President Steve Robinson, met again with the planning commission to review the conditions, which included wetlands issues and egress.
Planning Commission Member Ron Haase acknowledged that Silverman ‘did everything we asked them to. You’ve done your homework,? said Chairman Joe Rohovsky. ‘The next step is to come in with permits and a final site plan.?
Robinson said while most of the conditions have been resolved, not all will be until final site approval is given. He hopes building will begin next summer on the 1-bedroom, traditional apartments to be located north of Solley’s Appliance and Fireplace Center.
