Boy Scout Troop 128 heard all about the importance of making good choices when they hosted Oakland County Sheriff deputies about a topic that concerns many families — drug and alcohol abuse prevention.
Deputies Mike Richardson and Bob Loken to spoke to the scouts about various things, including the dangers of addiction, the importance of choices that young people make, and the negative impact that drugs and alcohol can have on a person’s school, career and future.
They also showed the scouts samples of the various street drugs, and Deputy Loken brought his K-9 partner, Kaiser, and demonstrated a drug search and criminal apprehension.
