School surveys positive–so far

Over the last several weeks, Orion school district has collected over 1,200 school survey responses from its website and schools.
The five-minute survey asked takers to identify the schools? strengths and weaknesses, the types of interaction they have with the school system and the overall grade they think the district deserves.
The vast majority ? 87.7 percent ? awarded the district an A or B. Five responders gave it an E.
Over 90 percent said their experience with the school system has been positive; 92.9 said it was a good place for students to learn; 72.6 percent said the schools enhanced property values.
Among the criticisms, there was one recurring theme: the overcrowded high school.
Full survey results will be revealed to the board and the public at the Feb. 25 meeting.
Check the March 4 Review for a survey breakdown.
