On Oct. 26, Orion Township’s own Powers Distributing purchased the iconic 45-foot beer bottle previously located at the former Big Buck Brewery.
Powers Distributing, Michigan’s largest distributor of Miller Lite, purchased the bottle from former Big Buck Brewery in Auburn Hills, previously viewable from I-75. Powers is still in planning stages regarding how they’d like to refurbish the bottle and what they’d like to see done with the massive label on the front.
“The Big Buck Brewery bottle has been a Metro Detroit staple for many years and Powers is proud to keep its history alive locally,” said Gary Thompson, Power’s Distributing chief operating officer.
Powers is currently working with Orion Township during the refurbishing process.
