The 5th annual Orion Veterans Memorial Day Race had its largest participation this year, with 310 people registering for the 5k run/walk or the new 5-mile race, said Race Director Jenny Bhatti.

5K Run/Walk

Female Winner: Amy Rowan, age 17, of Sterling Heights, with a time of 19:24.6.

Male Winner: Justin Hansen, 19, of Ortonville, with a time of 19:07.9.

5-Mile Run

Female Winner: Teresa Cook, 41, of Dearborn, with a time of 36:06.1

Male Winner: Sean Brandon, 30, of Lake Orion, with a time of 33:08.
