The Oakland County Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating a vehicle/motorcycle crash that killed Edward Allan Majesky of Orion Township on Saturday afternoon.
Majesky, 49, was operating a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, eastbound on Oakwood Road, east of the state park in Brandon Township, when he was struck head-on by a 2005 Kia, at about 5:14 p.m. on Aug. 5.
The Kia was driven by a 49-year-old Leonard woman, who was wearing a seatbelt and was injured in the accident.
Witnesses on the scene indicated to the OCSD that Majesky lost control of the motorcycle, went left to center, crossing over the westbound lane of Oakwood and striking the westbound Kia head-on.
Majesky was transported to Genesys Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:15 p.m.
The driver of the Kia performed CPR on Majesky until EMS arrived. The Kia driver was then transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac, where she was treated and released.
The OCSD said Majesky was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and that alcohol doesn’t appear to have been a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
