New detective at Brandon

Brandon Twp.- Chris Pacholski describes himself as very thorough and detail-oriented, traits he believes will be an asset as Oakland County Sheriff’s Detective for Brandon.
Pacholski, an Oakland County resident who declined to give his age, began work April 1, taking over for Brad Teague, who has moved to a dayshift position in Addison Township.
The detective position is a first for Pacholski, who worked as a deputy in Brandon for 10 months two years ago.
‘I will enjoy the investigative end, helping victims and investigating crimes,? he says. ‘I’ll do a good job for the people of Brandon.?
Pacholski has worked full-time for the Oakland County Sheriff’s Officer for 12 years, in various areas of corrections and on patrol in Rochester Hills, Oakland Township and Oxford, as well as Brandon. As a detective, he will follow-up on criminal complaints, interviewing victims, witnesses and suspects. He will be on call 24 hours a day and will be the officer in charge at court hearings.
Pacholski says he is currently working on a lot of contractor fraud cases in which residents paid contractors for work that was not done. He advises citizens to verify with the state that companies are licensed before hiring them.
The new detective invites members of the community to call him if they suspect anyone of illegal activity. Pacholski can be reached at (248) 627-4911.
