Clarkston Varsity Basketball players Taylor Daugherty and Alyssa Swindlehurst are set for college this fall.
Swindlehurst signed with Oakland Community College Raiders basketball team.
‘Alyssa has a lot of versatility,? said Coach Marv Allen. ‘She has a good outside shot, and she goes to the basket good. Most important, she’s a great team player.?
‘I’m really excited,? Swindlehurst said. ‘I like their program. They’re close to home. I planned on going to OCC even if I wasn’t playing ball.?
Daugherty will play for Albion College.
‘I really enjoy the campus,? said Daugherty, who will study German business. ‘They offer what I’m looking for.?
‘It’s wonderful, so nice,? said Gale Swindlehurst, Alissa’s mother. ‘This is a good opportunity for her, and the coach has been good.?
“Taylor and Alyssa have done a really good job for us,? said coach Tim Wasilk. ‘I’m excited for both of them. They’re good kids, hard workers. It’s a good fit for both of them.?
