“For students to experience characters who are not only in conflict with each other, but have an extreme hatred for each other, has been a bit of struggle at times,” Director Scott Finn said. “As a result, they have a deeper respect for the story and what it teaches us about human nature and how to go about inciting change.”
Over 100 students are involved in the Lake Orion High School Thespian Troupe 2898 production of West Side Story this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 p.m., with a matinee Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
The performing arts center is located at Lake Orion High School, 495 E. Scripps Rd. Tickets may be purchased at the door or by email at locsboxoffice@lakeorion.k12.mi.us. Include number of tickets, first and last name, and age of patron (adult, senior, student) as well as seating preference.
