Before winter break, Lake Orion High School’s boys and girls bowling teams headed to Plum Hallow in Southfield to take on Southfield A&T.

The Lady Dragons had two impressive baker games collecting a total of 1622 total points throughout the series, defeating Southfield A&T 25-5.

The boys team had a few high-scoring bowlers but were unable to defeat the Southfield A&T boys team, falling 26-4.

Last Thursday, the boys team headed to Ferndale’s Luxury lanes. Because Ferndale does not have a girls bowling team, the girls did not compete.

It was a close match for the boys who ultimately were defeated by a score of 16-14.

Both teams are back in action taking on West Bloomfield at Collier Lanes on Thursday. — Megan Kelley
