Troy Wolfe of Oxford was one of 28 lucky people to match five of six numbers in theWinFall drawing on May 14. Wolfe’s portion of the prize was $22,817.
If the jackpot reaches $5 million and no one matches all six numbers to win the jackpot, the $5 million in the jackpot then rolls down to the match five, four and three winners, increasing those prize levels by up to 10 times the normal amount.
The 41-year-old General Manager of Sunrise Auto Wash discovered he won the money after taking his ticket to a local party store for verification. Wolfe claims he is not a regular Lottery player, but has previously won $2,500. Wolfe has no immediate plans with his prize money.
The lucky man purchased his winning easy pick ticket at Art & Dick’s Party Store, 81 W. Burdick St., in Oxford. All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
