Over 115 quality two- and three-dimensional art pieces are on display as part of the annual All Media Show at the Orion Art Center, which runs through April 26.
A reception for the show was held last week, and over 60 people flocked in to see who took top honors and mingle with other artists and community members.
Best of Show was awarded to Diana Ostrand, of Oxford, who owns Accent on Art in downtown Lake Orion.
First Place went to sculptor Tracy Nara, also from Oxford.
Larry Nelson, of Lake Orion, was awarded second place for his hand-carved wooden clocks, and third place was awarded to Kristen Letts Kovak, of Ann Arbor, for her acrylic work.
Honorable mentions went to Dale Vronch, of Lapeer; Mike Hendrix, of Clarkston; Kimberly Kelly Santini, of Lake Orion; and Arlene Kruchay, of Oakland.
The show was juried by Doug and Katherine Johnson, of Romeo, both of whom are renowned fine artists.
‘It was not an easy decision,? said Katherine. ‘There is an abundance of high quality art in this show.?
The All Media Show will be on display at the Orion Art Center through April 26 and then travel to the Orion Township Public Library for an additional month.
According to Orion Art Center director Reggie Harrison, the public is requested to come check out the show and cast their vote for the ‘People’s Choice Award.?
The Orion Art Center, located at 115 S. Anderson Street in downtown Lake Orion, is open Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 11a.m. to 3 p.m.
