The Lake Orion High School varsity girls’ basketball team is on a hot streak ahead of district play next week.

The ladies defeated Athens High School last week 42-39. Junior Taylor Dinda led the Dragons with 13 points and seven rebounds. In her first game back on the court, Katie VanHeck dropped seven points. Lexi Stroschein and Maddie Ebbert also had seven points each.

The Dragons are now 15-3 overall and 11-2 in the OAA White.

Lake Orion takes on the Oxford Wildcats at Oxford High School on Tuesday after Review press time and are on the road again on Thursday after Rochester High School. District play begins Feb. 28 where the Dragons take on Rochester Adams at 5:30 p.m. in the LOHS field house.
