K-9 team continues success

Bodi strikes again.
On March 19, Brandon Deputy Mike Garrison and his partner, K-9 Bodi, were dispatched to assist the Narcotics Enforcement Team with a vehicle stop on Hatchery Road near Airport Road in Waterford. Bodi alerted on a door seam and a roach was found in the second seat driver’s side ashtray.
On the same day, Garrison and Bodi were dispatched to a business parking lot in the 100 block of S. Cass Road in Waterford for the search of two vehicles.
Bodi alerted on a large duffel bag inside the first truck, in which five pounds of marijuana was found. In the second truck, Bodi alerted on an empty backpack that smelled strongly of marijuana.
Bodi arrived in Oakland County in April 2005 from Czechoslovakia to be Garrison’s partner and the German Shepherd has received extensive training to track for drugs, missing persons and criminals.
In 2006, Garrison and Bodi responded to 110 K-9 calls. In the first quarter of 2007, they responded to 54 K-9 calls.
