The Goodrich varsity girls squad dominated the competition at the Carman-Ainsworth Cavalier Classic Sept. 2.
The Martians won the Division II-III portion of the race with 42, outdistancing second-place Brandon, which finished with 101 points. Powers Catholic was third with 129.
Goodrich senior Janee Jones, fresh off her win at the Crim Festival of Races last month, won the meet with a time of 19:05. Sophomore Kayla O’Mara was not far behind, finishing fourth overall in a time of 20:08.45.
Others finishing in the top 20 for the Martians were sophomores Kelsey Meyers (sixth, 20:37.79) and Kelsey Krych (10th, 21:10.84).
Kayla Doan was the Blackhawks? top runner, finishing 11th (21:17.97), while Kelsey Carmean was right behind at 12th (21:19.30). Kelly Wilson (17th, 21:33.93) and Jamie Hendershott (19th, 21:44.05) also finished in the top 20 for the Blackhawks.
