Lake Orion’s girls’ water polo team was victorious in their first district game against Haslett last week.
The team pulled ahead in the second quarter and kept advancing to win, 12-6.
The Dragons faced a tough competitor later that Friday, losing their second district game again Okemos, 21-4.
Senior captain Nicole Horvath led the way with seven goals in the two games. Amanda Keller and Berenice Carrillo each scored two goals.
Goalie Kylee Primeau successfully had 23 saves during the two games.
The team finishes their season this Thursday, May 19th with the Green and White Game beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a mixed girls and boys game featuring alumni and current team members.
