Forensics teams compete in Mackinac tournament

Several Lake Orion students were on Mackinac Island over the weekend competing in a forensics tournament at the Grand Hotel.
Competitors from Waldon and Oakview Middle Schools, as well as Lake Orion High School, who took fourth place overall, attended the event. A total of 34 schools from around the state of Michigan competed.
Individual placers from Lake Orion included Marisa Martini, LOHS, first, Informative; Katie Grantham, Waldon, fifth, After Dinner Speaking; Lillian Mihalak,Oakview, eighth, Prose; Kristen Dolecki, LOHS, sixth, Prose; Sarah Martin, LOHS, fourth, Prose; Rebecca Ryan and Parisa Soraya, LOHS, second, Duo Sales; and Cody Stauber, Ross Stolzenburg, Jim McNulty and Tyler Pratt, LOHS, fifth, Multiple.
Several of the members of the Lake Orion High School Forensics team also took part in the State IE (Individual Event) Tournament earlier this month. Look for a story about how the team did in an upcoming issue of The Review.
