Goodrich-When Misty Maidens came to Goodrich as an agent for Farmers Insurance Group, she brought with her a sense of compassion and need to help others. She might be able to save folks some money too.
‘Farmers offers very competitive homeowners insurance,? said Maidens. ‘Most of the ones I’ve done I’ve saved (the policy holder) significant money.?
Maidens said customers often can’t believe the savings she is able to offer them. However, Maidens added she is not able to insure everybody.
Farmers Insurance Group, targets individuals Maidens describes as ‘the cream of the crop?, meaning those with good credit and clean driving records.
‘We don’t just insure anything or anyone,? said Maidens.
For those with a blemished credit or driving history, Maidens can still offer a little guidance.
‘Even if I can’t help you, I can direct you to someone who can,? said Maidens.
As a licensed insurance agent, Maidens said one of her biggest frustrations is seeing someone who is insured in a way that is inappropriate for their life-style.
‘For your own protection, you have to be adaquately insured,? explained Maidens. Young people, in particular, seems to be at risk of being under-insured, Maidens said
‘You really have to sit down and talk about what type of person you are and what your habits are and what you need.?
When seeing an insurance agent to review a policy, Maidens recommends bringing all current polices to the appointment. This helps the agent see exactly what is covered and also works as a reference for information the policy holder may not have memorized.
‘I truly care about people? I’m not just here to take your money.? said Maidens. ‘I love what I do. I’m here to help the community… to help people get what they need out of insurance.?
‘I’m just here to help people,? said Maidens, ‘that’s what an insurance agent is for.?
