During my months of rehab from my hip surgery in February, I saw a few doctors. We chatted a few times until I heard two of them tell me they don’t read newspapers.
Neither of them watch news on television either. They use the tv to view old movies and reruns.
Personally, I watch tv news from 7 to 9 a.m and from 4 to 7 p.m. I do a lot of clicking off commercials and stuff I’ve heard multiple times.
In the last couple months I’ve not slept well.
I deduced perhaps I don’t need to see all the killing in Egypt, Detroit, rioting, and crime. It hasn’t improved my sleep, yet but it’s worth a try.
What I’m saying is I’m a news junkie. The doctors have a lot more time to practice medicine.
Another thing in their favor is they avoid all the news releases out of Washington which have to be rewritten, but never apologized for as subjects move from Obamacre to Brengazi to political gesturing and the proposed candidate-of-the-minute for Republicans, but Hillary remains alone atop the other party’s field.
The 2014 and 2016 candidate lists will again leave many folks voting against someone instead of for someone.

I almost hate to see the fall electioneering start. Politicians will be everywhere spewing their messages.
Their profession has become one of the most disliked words in our vocabulary. Obama’s daily and weekly messages are spoken one day and explained to us the next. He must make an honest politician blush.
They don’t seem to have earned our respect.
Many stand for re-election and for benefits, not for promoting the betterment of living standards, higher morality and equality for all, not just their financial backers and their ‘Party.?
Too many belong to the Greed and Gimme Party

* I think more students are being schooled (taught but not absorbing). Come on parents ? get in there and help your children learn, especially common sense.
* So many salespersons on the tube say ‘your hard-earned money!? If you win the lottery is it still hard-earned?
* Some tube spokes people are pushing ‘borrow money from us because it is government insured.?
That’s not very reassuring since our government is over $25 billion in debt.

Our daughter Susan read every assignment, never missed a class and spent a fifth year at Central Michigan University because she couldn’t take tests.
She and her Oxford High daughter were looking over CMU’s booklet.
As the daughter flipped pages, Mother said, ‘I don’t remember that building.? Her daughter said, ‘That’s the library!?
Well, the smart aleck kid admitted the building had been rebuilt since Mom’s days there.
