Cross country boys share OAA-I title, Lake Orion girls finish second

The Lake Orion Boys Cross Country Team went the distance to finish off the regular season with a piece of the OAA I title, which they shared with Rochester.
In the league meet on Oct. 16, Lake Orion finished with 42, while Rochester had 43. Billy Peterson finished second for the Dragons (15:56), while Keith Magic was sixth (16:34). Rob Shinouskis finished ninth (16:45) for Lake Orion.
The Orion girls team were edged out of an OAA I title on Oct. 16 at the league meet as they finished second to league winner Clarkston.
Clarkston won the meet with 21, while the Dragons finished with 78 points. Lake Orion’s Lindsey Gaudard pulled out a fourth place finish with a time of 19:06, while teammate Katie Reilly finished in 10th (19:36).
Both Lake Orion teams travel to the regional meet on Oct. 25. The state meet is Nov. 1.
