CROP Walk raises over $21,000

ok part in the annual Lake Orion/Oxford CROP Walk on May 4.
Starting at Christ the Redeemer Church on Waldon, participants chose either a two-mile walk or a six-mile scenic walk that extended through Orion Oaks Park.
The walk raised over $21,226 that day, and donations are continuing to come in.
Individually, Larry Watson, from Thomas United Methodist Church, raised the highest amount of donations with a total of $1,006, and Joe Caporali, from Immanuel Congregational United Church of Christ Church, raised the most among the youth by collecting $460.
Of the money that was raised, 25-percent will be implemented locally, with 15-percent benefitting Oxford/Orion FISH, five-percent to St. Vincent De Paul, and five-percent to Love INC.
