Three Clarkston City Council members are running unchallenged for re-election, Nov. 4.
Incumbents Mike Gawronski, Chuck Inabnit, and Kristy Ottman are running for two-year terms.
Mike Gawronski, 50, served on the city’s planning commission for five years, two as council representative. He earned a seat on the council in 2006 as a write-in candidate.
“I’ve enjoyed my time serving the community ? I’d like to think we’re getting good things done,” Gawronski said. “I’d like to continue the process.”
His main goal for the next term is helping to balance the budget.
“It’s fairly straightforward ? income is falling and bills are increacing,” he said. “We need to balance the books and maintain services.”
Charles Inabnit, appointed to city council in 2007 to fill a vacancy, is running for his first full term.
“I feel I have a lot more work to do for the city,” said Inabnit, 39, a 35-year resident of Clarkston.
“My number one concern is to trim the budget.”
He has served on the Citizens Police Committee, and police chief and city manager search committees.
Ottman, 39, is a 10-year resident of Clarkston and serves as mayor pro-tem. She was first elected in 2004.
