Cake, cookies and Fifth Third Bank

Community members and dignitaries from Oakland County, Auburn Hills, Orion Township and the Village of Lake Orion gathered on the corner of Dutton and M-24 last Friday for cake, cookies and mingling.
The occasion? Fifth Third Bank cut the ribbon on their new branch in Orion Township.
Fifth Third banking centers now total twenty-three in Oakland County.
But according to Jack Riley, the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Fifth Third, this ribbon cutting was particularly significant.
‘Even through hard economic times, we’re still growing and expanding,? he said.
‘We believe in southeastern Michigan. We’re here to stay.?
The bank is happy to be a part of the Orion community and excited to give back to it. So far, they’ve given $2,500 to Haven, a shelter for abused women, and $15,000 to the county to support business initiatives.
‘I intend to make this branch the most successful one in the region by offering the best and most personal customer service around,? said Ryan Minier, the bank’s District Manager.
From across the street, Culver’s, another new business, joined the festivities. Cheery employees brought over free frozen custard for guests to enjoy.
