However, the Blackhawks had their hands full with the host Eagles Feb. 14 before putting them away in the fourth quarter for a 60-42 victory. The win improved the Blackhawks to 14-1 overall and 10-1 in the league, while Linden fell to 1-14 overall and 1-10 in the league.
The Blackhawks were ahead 29-18 at halftime, but the Eagles roared back to close the gap to two points, 37-35, by the end of the third quarter. Brandon then outscored Linden 23-7 in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory.
Donald Carter led the Blackhawks in scoring with 15 points, while Adrian Harges added 12 points, and Adam Howard and Erik Allar nine apiece.
The Blackhawks put the clamps down on host Lapeer East in a big way Friday, Feb. 10, winning their Flint Metro League matchup against the Eagles 55-35.
Lapeer East scored 17 points combined in the first three quarters before scoring 18 in the fourth quarter. It was too little, too late for the Eagles by that point, because Brandon built up a 43-17 lead after three periods.
The Blackhawks? Gary Glasby had another productive shooting night, connecting on four three-point shots on his way to a team-leading 18 points. Allar and Howard pulled down 10 rebounds each for the Blackhawks.
