Booters busted by Romeo

The Oxford Varsity girl’s soccer team lost 1-3 to Romeo April 1 during a game highlighted by 35 mph wind gusts and cold.
Oxford took an early 1-0 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game with a goal by freshman Beth Downs, assisted by senior captain Alex Johnson.
Romeo responded with two goals in the first and one in the second.
‘They just out-muscled us,? said Coach Mark Sullivant.
‘Our new players are learning a lot from the first two games of the season and we will continue to improve as the season moves forward,? he noted.
The Wildcats start league play on Wednesday, April 16 with an away game against Holly.
