The Ortonville Community Emergency Fund (OCEF) is collecting food and toys to distribute to families in need this holiday season.
The number of families seeking help has steadily increased over the past few years as many struggle in a poor economy.
Food, cleaning supplies, paper goods, and personal care items are needed, as well as toys, books, and games for children 12 and under. If you can help, several area businesses have boxes set up for donations. For a list of needed items and the most up-to-date list of drop-off locations, please visit www.thecitizenonline.com.
