The Varsity Girls Swim team extended their winning streak to two with a 94-81 victory over Swartz Creek on Thursday, Oct. 8.
The results of the meet were as follows:
In the 200 Medley Relay, Oxford’s A relay team of Senior Jennifer Sunman, Sophomore Emily Gilmore, Sophomore Claire Patrell and Junior Jenna Mallard came in first with a time of 2:15.45. Oxford’s B relay came in second.
The Wildcats swept the 200 Free with Junior Captain Sarah Skelton coming in first with a time of 2:15.27. Senior Kaitlyn Kimmel finished second and Freshman Caitlyn Wroblewski was third.
The Wildcats again swept the 200 Individual Medley with Sophomore Ellen Saville placing first with a time of 2:42.96. Patrell and Senior Kara Charles came in second and third respectively.
In the 50 Free, Freshman Amanda DelaPaz came in first , setting her personal best with a time of 28.92. Junior Anna Daves came in second and Senior Rikki Jarvis was fourth.
Senior Dive Captain Olivia Martin came in second with 133.9 points in the diving portion. Sophomores Bailey Terrian and Kelsey Cronk came in third and fourth respectively.
In the 100 Fly, Patrell came in first with a time of 1:10.35 and DelaPaz finished second. Freshman Sammi Kurk finished fourth for the Wildcats.
In the 100 Free, the Wildcats swept the event with Mallard coming in first with her time of 1:01.40. Daves and Jarvis took second and third.
In the 500 Free, the event was swept again by Oxford with Skelton placing first with a time of 6:02.09. Kimmel finished second and Wroblewski was third.
In the 200 Free Relay, the A-relay team of DelaPaz, Saville, Daves and Skelton came in first with a time of 1:57.82. The Wildcat’s B relay was second.
In the 100 backstroke, Sunman came in first with a time of 1:17.97. Charles came in second and Junior Jasmine Vickrey came in fourth.
The Wildcats owned the 100 breaststroke, sweeping the event with Mallard coming in first with a time of 1:21.39. Gilmore and Saville came in second and third respectively.
The 400 relay of Skelton, Patrell, Saville and Mallard took first with a time of 4:19.24. The B relay came in second.
‘We have some worrisome injuries, but the girls have been training really hard and really stepping it up at practice and at meets,? said Swim/Dive Coach Jackie Boswell.
They play at Avondale on Tuesday Oct 13 and at Holly on Thursday, Oct 15.
