Dragon Swimming/diving team takes Seaholm team by one point

The Lake Orion Boys Swimming and Diving Team retained their undefeated record on Jan. 29, defeating Birmingham Seaholm, 92-91, in a home meet.
The Dragons? record is currently 6-0. The team had a first place finish against Seaholm in the 200 medley relay, as Stephen Maniace, Chris Conner, Gabe Chevrier and Andrew Kuehl finished with a time of 1:45.52. Conner also won the 100 breaststroke at 1:03.05.
Also finishing first was Orion’s Kellen Malstrom in one-meter diving, with a score of 175.3. Teammate Garrett Ruhland finished first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.62.
The Lake Orion team had three swimmers under state cuts, Pat Dodge in the 200 freestyle (1:48.98), Conner in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.05), and Ruhland in the 50 freestyle (22.89).
The Dragons return to action on Feb. 7, hosting the Oakland County Meet, and travel to Clarkston on Feb. 12.
