The Brandon Township Library is offering Groveland Township residents an ‘early bird special? if they purchase a family library card in February or March.
The library’s Board of Trustees decided to offer the special at their Jan. 16 meeting.
During February, residents may purchase a family card for $100 per year, a $50 savings. If they purchase it in March, the cost to purchase that card is $125. Individual and student cards will remain at $100 and $6, respectively
Since the Groveland Township Board decided not to renew their contract with the Brandon library, all cardholders who live in Groveland Township will be unable to use their current library cards after April 1. After that date, Groveland residents may purchase a family card for $150 per year and an individual card for $100 per year. Students who attend Brandon schools may purchase a student card, with proper identification from the school district, for $6 per year.
