SYNOPSIS, REGULAR MEETING MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2022
Called meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. All Members present. (Chris Barnett absent with notice)
Treasurer Donni Steele was appointed chair due to the Supervisors absence.
Invocation given by Char Folis. All rose for Pledge of Allegiance led by Matt Phiefer.
Presentation given by Ian Locke from Orion Neighborhood Television for the upcoming food drive.
Approved payment of bills in the amount of $1,329,597.76 and payrolls of $591,800.99
Total disbursement of funds of $1,921,398.75.
Approved Agenda, as amended.
Approved Consent Agenda, as amended.
Approved minutes – public hearing, January 18, 2022, as presented.
Approved minutes – regular meeting, January 18, 2022, as corrected.
Adopted resolutions for permanent polling locations for precincts 2, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, long with the Absent Voter Counting Board and an Emergency Polling location.
Authorized supervisor’s office to proceed with the preparation of the work plan and cost estimate for Golfview Drive private road maintenance SAD #2.
Authorized supervisor’s office to proceed with the preparation of the work plan and cost estimate for Lake Orion water quality control SAD #2.
Approved Fire Department to purchase one new 2021 Ford F150 special service vehicle and miscellaneous equipment from 911 Rapid Response, LLC., in the amount of $79,986.73.
Scheduled public workshop with the Board of Trustees on February 22, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at Orion Township Hall, and authorized the Clerk to post.
Authorized Supervisor to sign the Strom Drainage Facility Maintenance Easement Agreement on behalf of the Township.
Approved Superior Excavating to perform necessary repairs to the M-24 Silverbell sanitary sewer replacement, at a cost not to exceed $504,100 and authorized the Budget Director to make a budget adjustment of $504,100 with funds from Water and Sewer Fund Balance.
Authorized Tyler Carpenter to take the ACC 510 Financial and Managerial Accounting course and approved reimbursement in an amount not to exceed $2,652, contingent upon all requirements in the Tuition Reimbursement policy.
Scheduled public hearing in support of the Township’s MNRTF Grant application, to be held in conjunction with the February 22, 2022, regular meeting, and authorized the Clerk’s office to post.
Denied request to amend the Marsa consent judgement dated November 6, 2000.
Approved request from PC-2021-70, Grandview Lapeer Road Rezoning to extend the 90-day deadline for the applicant to purchase 3120 S Lapeer Rd for an additional 160 days for the sale to be drafted and reasonably closed.
Approved application to combine non-conforming parcel 09-33-351-020 and part of parcel 09-33-351-021 to create parcel 1, contingent upon applicant’s voluntary agreement to record deed restrictions as depicted.
Approved assembly permit application for the 10 Canterbury Village Events 2022 located at 2325 Joslyn Rd with conditions.
Received and filed Police reports, as presented.
