The regular season ended on a disappointing note for the Lake Orion High School Varsity Girls Basketball Team as they were unable to push by Troy Athens and Rochester Adams in games last week.
On Nov. 11, the team played against Athens, losing 47-38. Lake Orion’s Lindsey Randazzo scored 19 points, while teammate Chelsea Richards had 10. Cara Slosson had five for the team.
Nov. 13, the Dragons hosted the Highlanders of Rochester Adams, slipping 54-26. Slosson led the Lake Orion team with five points, while Richards and Jessica Mclean each had four.
Lake Orion finished the regular season with a 3-17, 2-12 record in OAA Division I. The team opened their district play on Nov. 17, in Rochester playing against Auburn Hills Avondale.
The Yellow Jackets took the Dragons out of the competition, 56-25, in the Class A opening game. Randazzo led Lake Orion with 12, while Heather Jeshurun and Richards each had four.
