Lake Orion High School’s girls basketball team hosted Troy Athens on Thursday for the second time this season.

Lake Orion currently trails Athens in the OAA White division. Athens with a 5-5 record and Lake Orion with a 2-8 record.

The Lake Orion ladies had met with the Troy Athens Red Hawks earlier in the season arriving home with a 59-40 loss.

The Dragons bounced back after a three game losing streak to overcome the Red Hawks 47-39.

Freshman Madeleine Ebbert led the Dragons in scoring with 17 points while captain Meghan Marshall contributed 12 to the winning effort.

This win puts the ladies at a 7-11 overall record.

The ladies host the Troy Colts on Feb. 25 in the Lake Orion Field House at 7 p.m. after Review press time. — M.K.
