Clarkston football opens season with win against Groves

The Clarkston High School football team started their 2003 season strong with a dominating performance Thursday night.
The Wolves used a high-powered offense to knock off Birmingham Groves 37-19. Clarkston scored on a three yard pass from Sam Palace to Kyle Rademacher to cap off their opening drive which was a sign of things to come for the offense.
After Groves capitalized on a Wolves turnover and tied the score, Clarkston scored 17 consecutive points in a Nick Blackstone 40 yard run, a Palace six-yard run and a field goal.
After Groves pulled within five points after three quarters, the Wolves used two Blackstone touchdown runs to close out the scoring.
