Brandon Twp.-The township has officially sold a 60-acre parcel of land located on the north side of Seymour Lake Road just west of Sashabaw Road to Farmington Hills-based Atlantis Development Corp.
The closing took place on June 29, with the township receiving $725,000 for the sale, the proceeds of which will be used to purchase a 47-acre parcel of land located at the northeast corner of Hadley and Oakwood roads for the purpose of developing a park.
The township will retain the right to profits they glean from a cell tower on the Seymour Lake property. Currently, the township receives $49,000 per year in revenue from having the cell tower on the land. The money will be used for further development of the recreation park.
