Ortonville-Despite a few orange barrels the Citgo station, 495 S. Ortonville Road is open during some re construction.
The barrels, equipment and mounds of soil indicate coming improvements to Citgo. The station is keeping the same number of gas pumps, but will soon add an approximately 2,000 square-foot convience store.
‘We just wanted a bigger, newer store,? said Mark Herbst, a Citgo clerk. ‘Customers will be able to get their gas and everything else all at once.?
The station will now offer milk, bread and lunchmeat, and a variety of items expected to be found in a convenience store, such as dishsoap and snacks. Prices will be competitive and Herbst says Citgo has the cheapest prices in town on cigarettes and gas.
Construction began June 20 and is expected to take about 60 days, weather permitting.
‘It will be a nice-looking store,? said Herbst.
