The Oxford Wildcats grappled to a second-place finish in the Oakland County wrestling championships last week.
Oxford finished with 278 points, losing to four-time consecutive champion Detroit Catholic Central, which scored 341.
Catholic Central is the defending Division 1 state champions, while Oxford finished second.
Rochester was third with 264.5 points, followed by Clarkston 239.5, Lake Orion with 207.5 and Holly with 187.5.
Top finishers for the Wildcats were:
Alex Hrisopoulos finished second at 103 pounds. Daniel Curtis was third at 119 pounds. Edwin Schlickenmeyer was third at 130 pounds. Mike Willits was third at 140 pounds. Rocco Borg also finished third at 145 pounds.
Wes Maskill was second at 152 pounds. Marty Giannola took third place at 171 pounds. Liam Logan has a fourth-place finisher at 189 pounds.
Zach Wood finished second at the 285 pound class.
