Oxford Community Television wants you!
Ken LaPlace, the new manager of Oxford’s public access cable station, is calling on all able-minded Oxford-area residents to help him produce television shows this fall.
LaPlace said that about ten new shows are slated for the fall, and his studios are in need of people to power them.
Many roles are open at the studio. LaPlace is looking for producers, directors, technical assistants, office staff, on-air talent, camera operators ? virtually every position at OCTV could use some help.
All equipment and training will be provided for volunteers who would like to take part, and it is possible these volunteers will be brought onto the payroll.
LaPlace is open to student-run programming, perhaps a show about the weekly events at an area school, or a show created entirely on a smart phone.
This is a great opportunity for students looking to fulfill community service or to check out a possible career path. If interested in taking part, contact LaPlace at (248) 628-9658 or visit www.occtv.org.
